To construct the patient safety and reliability of medical care, all health professionals should overcome the differences of positions, and all healthcare providers, organizations in healthcare, academic societies, governments, patients, and communities should get together to decrease the injuries due to medical care. We, thus, propose the National Campaign “PARTNERS for Patient Safety”.This project sets the 2 years from May 2008 as campaign period and hospitals in Japan would register voluntarily and install the 8 action goals to improve the quality and safety of their practice. The participant hospitals cooperate with each others, and the Japanese Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare and other partner organizations would provide the necessities for effective installations.
We welcome all health professionals, hospitals, and organizations to participate in this challenging project. We should work together to make our healthcare safer.
