This 60-minute educational program is designed to provide techniques for accessing and contributing information about patient safety through traditional publications and digital resources such as social media. The program is designed to benefit front-line, middle management, and top leadership staff at healthcare organizations, as well as patient advocates and interested individuals. Susan Carr, editor of Patient Safety & Quality Healthcare, and Lorri Zipperer, cybrarian and managing editor of NPSF Focus on Patient Safety, will share expertise and recommendations on the effective use of resources available for those interested in safety improvement, as well as advice about submitting materials for publication and participating in online discussions.
